The flight, operated under Qatar Airways Flight 8150, was scheduled for a standard duration but was unexpectedly extended due to unforeseen circumstances. As the aircraft prepared to land at Heathrow Airport, Al-Haydos, who had been flying continuously since takeoff, decided to take advantage of the extra time to push the boundaries of human endurance.
