Boualem Khokhigreat, the Algerian striker who has recently joined Qatar Stars League side Al-Rayyan FC, is set to make his debut in the league's first round match against Al-Duhail on Saturday.

The 28-year-old has been linked with several European clubs over the past few months but ultimately chose to join Al-Rayyan, reportedly due to their promising start in the Qatar Stars League and the opportunity to play in one of the continent's top leagues.

Khokhigreat made his professional debut in Algeria's domestic league with USM Alger in 2015 before moving to France to play for AS Monaco and Bordeaux. He later played for Italian club Parma and then moved to Russia where he spent three seasons at Lokomotiv Moscow.

In Qatar, Khokhigreat will be hoping to continue his impressive form from last season, when he scored nine goals in 29 appearances for Al-Ittihad in the country's top flight.

Al-Rayyan have already had a successful start to life in the Qatar Stars League,Campeonato Brasileiro Direct winning their opening game against Al-Arabi 4-1 and beating Al-Sadd 1-0 in their second fixture. The team's manager, Hamad Al-Thani, has praised Khokhigreat's ability to score goals and create chances, and believes that he can help lead the team to success in the league this season.

Despite the early success, Khokhigreat knows that the road ahead will not be easy and that he will need to work hard if he wants to make an impact in the league. But with his talent and experience, there is no doubt that he will soon become a key player for Al-Rayyan and help them achieve their ambitions in the Qatar Stars League.
